Coffee Cup Cookie Cutters

At first glance, I would assume that "coffee cup cookie cutters" are cookie cutters in the actual shape of a coffee cup. But it turns out these are actually square cookie cutters, each with a different cut-out shape (flower, heart, star, and tree), that result in cookies you can hang off a coffee or hot chocolate mug to present to your guests (or your kids).

Granted, this is a pretty specialized stocking stuffer, but it is kind of clever. If you know someone who loves to bake and/or entertain, this is an inexpensive and unique little gift item. The regular price listed is $7.95 for the set of four, but as of this writing Solutions is selling the set for $5.99.

Or you can get them for yourself, and use them to make the right cookies for some special occasion. The heart can obviously be used for Valentine's Day, which (unless you live in the warm south) usually has the right weather for hot chocolate. The tree can be used for Christmas, of course, and there are lots of special occasions -- birthday, Mother's Day, etc. -- for the star and the flower.
