I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm the type who actually likes kitchen gadgets in my Christmas stocking (a fact which my husband has picked up on!). Here's one I wouldn't mind finding in my stocking: a julienne peeler. I have it in mind for carrots*, but I do note that one of the customer reviews mentions this as a better alternative for grating hard Parmesan cheese!(*I make a skillet lasagna that I like to sneak extra veggies into, such as carrots and spinach -- julienned carrots would work better, because as it is it takes forever to chop up the carrots into small enough pieces that they'll cook through well.)
