To answer your questions, the little rocketship is from The DigiStamp Boutique.
I print onto A4 (UK) paper but have used US designs and printed onto A4 and 8.5 x 11 inches too. You can generally print onto any size you like by copying the images into word or re-sizing etc as they tend to all come in different formats.
I use and Epson RX865 photo printer - so standard inkjet inks. I find this printer great as it takes all my card without going round a roller so it doesn't jam (touch wood!).
I like to print patterned papers onto linen effect card - it makes it look a bit like Bazzill texture wise.
